ABOUT THE PROJECT
‘Malvern Collective’ comprises two mixed-use buildings, one 17 storeys and one 11 storeys (above combined basement levels), which encompass a mix of land-uses, with residential apartments within the upper levels and the podiums including office floorspace, refurbishment of an existing hotel, cafés, and shops including a Woolworths Metro.
Contour was the town planning representative for the planning application, which came with complexities including considerations to existing use rights, heritage, road discontinuance, and design of public realm improvements in consultation with a number of key stakeholders.
The project will result in a vibrant mixed-use community, tied together with a new central public plaza and new and improved public realm adjacent to Malvern Train Station.
